Open Tuesday–Sunday. May–September 09:00–18:00; October–April 09:00–16:00. The main permanent exhibition is closed for reconstruction; the Open Depository and SNP 1944 multimedia exhibition remain open. Check for temporary closures before visiting.

The museum is at Kapitulská 23 in central Banská Bystrica. Paid parking is available beside the memorial, with separate parking below the complex for buses. Štadlerovo nábrežie is the nearest public-transport stop. The main railway and bus station is about a 15-minute walk away.
Reconstruction may affect visitor routes, entrances and available facilities. Visitors requiring step-free access or other assistance should confirm the current arrangements directly with the museum before travelling.
Standard admission is currently €5 for adults and €2 for pupils, students and seniors. Guided tours in Slovak or a supported foreign language should be requested 5–6 days in advance. Verify current prices and tour availability with the museum.
