What a cookie is
A cookie is a small value stored by the browser. It can help a website preserve state between requests.
Public website
When anonymously reading public content, Trelovanta requires no account and does not start an administration session. However, the measurement and advertising tools described below may still set their own cookies during ordinary browsing.
Essential administration session
Signing in to administration creates a cookie named trelovanta_session. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, is used solely to authenticate the signed-in user and protect against CSRF attacks, and expires automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity or after 8 hours at the latest.
Google Analytics and Tag Manager
The site loads a Google Tag Manager container, which runs Google Analytics (gtag) to measure site usage. These tools may set cookies such as _ga and _gid to distinguish visitors and measure how the site is used.
Advertising and social media cookies
Trelovanta uses, or plans to use, cookies from social media measurement and advertising tools, including the Meta Pixel and similar tools from other platforms, and in future from advertising networks such as Google AdSense. These cookies may be used to measure ad performance, limit how often an ad is shown, and personalise content or advertising.
Managing cookies and ad choices
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Removing the session cookie will sign you out of administration; it has no effect on reading public content. You can also manage personalised advertising choices in your Google Ad Settings and Meta Ad Preferences.
