How we use content
We aim to use our own content, content used with permission or under licence, and content whose use is permitted by law. Attribution alone does not replace any authorisation that is required. If we have made a mistake, we want to review it and take appropriate corrective action.
What to include in your notice
Provide your full name or organisation name, contact email and whether you are the rights holder or an authorised representative. Identify the protected work precisely, give the exact Trelovanta page URL, and describe the content you object to and why you believe its use is unauthorised.
Evidence and requested resolution
Include available supporting material, such as the original publication, licence, record of authorship or proof that you may act for the rights holder. State whether you request removal, corrected attribution, replacement or another resolution. Do not send personal data that is unnecessary for reviewing the notice.
How we review a notice
We will review the notice objectively and may ask for additional information. Depending on the circumstances, we may restrict the content while reviewing it and then remove it, replace it, correct its attribution or leave it unchanged. Where appropriate, we may contact the content source. We will communicate the outcome to the email provided; timing depends on the complexity of the case.
Accuracy and good faith
Submit a notice in good faith and make sure it is accurate. An incomplete notice may delay the review. A false or misleading claim may affect the rights of others. If you believe content was removed or changed in error, contact us with evidence supporting its lawful use.
Legal framework
This process is based primarily on Slovak Act No. 185/2015 Coll. on Copyright, as amended, and applicable European Union copyright law, including Directives 2001/29/EC and (EU) 2019/790. It is not a U.S. DMCA procedure, legal advice or a substitute for court proceedings or any other remedy available by law.
Where to send your notice
Email your notice to [email protected] with the subject “Copyright notice – [URL]”. Include a statement that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and add your name or electronic signature.
