Liptovský Mikuláš
December to early April for skiing; June to September for hiking on the same slopes

Jasná sits in Demänovská Dolina, about 15 minutes by car or resort shuttle bus from Liptovský Mikuláš, which has direct train connections from Bratislava and Žilina. There is no train station in the valley itself, so a car, taxi or the seasonal ski bus from Liptovský Mikuláš is the practical option.
