Hrebienok is a traditional High Tatras starting point above Starý Smokovec. The Studený Potok stream descends through a pronounced terrain break, creating a system of cascades and waterfalls shaped by mountain water, rock and former glacial processes.
What to expect when you arrive
Reach Hrebienok by funicular or on foot, then follow the currently open marked trail toward Bilíkova chata and the waterfalls. Water flow is often strongest during snowmelt or after rain. Mountain conditions and trail closures can change quickly, so check the official Tatras notice before departure.

Getting there
Start in Starý Smokovec and continue to Hrebienok by funicular or marked walking route. From Hrebienok, use only open marked trails and follow current TANAP and Visit Tatry notices.
Accessibility and terrain
Hrebienok itself is easier to reach by funicular, but waterfall trails include rocks, roots, slopes, wet surfaces, snow or ice. They are not generally wheelchair accessible.
